The operation of trains through flood water

RSSB project T1052 has investigated GB national rules for train operations in flood water. Some operators have introduced more restrictive rules to obviate potential vehicle water damage by limiting train speeds more than the national rules require. This has an adverse effect on all trains operating on the same lines.
