Preliminary estimates of Class 390 car 9 stability

Alstom has raised a question about the vulnerability of Class 390 car 9 (the lightest and central vehicle) in relation to that of the leading vehicle (see email attached as Appendix A). This document gives a preliminary and approximate assessment of this comparison.
