Human Performance in Rail: determining the potential of physiological data from wearable technologies

The aim of the project is to improve understanding of how to practically measure human cognitive performance in rail. Initial interviews identified front-line rail staff workload as a concern. Periodic competency assessments are carried out to assess human performance but these do not account for second-by-second fluctuations in cognitive workload.
