This research focuses on the structural analysis and whole system performance of precast concrete slab track systems. The primary location of interest is at the transition zones where non-fixed (ballasted) track meets fixed (slab) track at civil structures, such as bridge and tunnel approaches, considering the long-term accumulation of settlement.
