Improving Earthquake Resilience of Railway structures

Dr. Masayuki Koda, Director, Head of Structures Technology Division, outlines measures developed by RTRI to improve the quake resilience of railway structures, such as pre-quake diagnosis and seismic reinforcement, early warning, quick estimation of quake motion and damage after the earthquake, and after-quake recovery support and early recovery techniques.
