Human Factors Courses

RSSB’s Human Factors team runs three training courses for people working in the rail industry. These courses are delivered at RSSB’s offices in Moorgate, London.

Human Factors Awareness course

The Human Factors Awareness Course for Incident Investigators has been developed for people involved in undertaking incident and accident investigations in the rail industry. The course focuses on the analysis of incidents and accidents from a human factors perspective. This course lasts two days.

NTS Awareness and Integration course

The NTS awareness and integration course (formally entitled 'NTS Train the Trainer' course) is primarily designed for trainers who may need to cascade non-technical skills (NTS) training within their own companies. The course provides delegates with an in-depth understanding of non-technical skills so that attendees can increase the understanding of NTS within their own companies. This course last four days.

The Non-Technical Skills Refresher Course

The Non-Technical Skills Refresher Course is a 1 day course. The course is aimed at individuals who have undertaken NTS training in the past (either the full RSSB course or a course delivered by another provider) and wish to refresher their knowledge on this subject.

Situational Judgement Exercise, Multi-Modal Interview and Written Communication Test

The Situational Judgement Exercise, Multi-Modal Interview and Written Communication Test training has been designed for train driver assessment staff from across the GB rail industry who need to administer the SJE, MMI and WCT as part of the new train driver selection process. This course lasts three days with a one day follow-up workshop.
