The Top 50 Women in Engineering 2018 list was announced in The Sunday Telegraph.

RSSB's Lead System Safety Engineer, Dr Emma Taylor, is pleased to be named in the list, recognising her 30-year engineering career in aerospace, oil and gas and now the rail sector.

Emma said: It's an honour to have this opportunity to represent women in traditionally male-dominated industries and job roles. As a Chartered Engineer, I'm looking forward to encouraging and supporting the next generation of women working in engineering, and learning from them too.

The Top 50 Women in Engineering initiative aims to boost the numbers of women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics careers by celebrating notable women in the sector and celebrating their careers. This year, the awards category is 'Returners and Transferrers', which recognises women who have changed industries or returned to work after a career break.

RSSB CEO Mark Phillips said: Congratulations to Emma on achieving this fantastic recognition.
