Trespass brings severe safety implications, for the trespassers and the wider network. In this programme, we hear about what industry is doing to tackle this problem and what we can all do to help.
Trespassers do their own risk analysis, without fully understanding the dangers. Everyone has a role to play in preventing trespass, reporting it whenever they see someone trespassing on the railway.
This episode starts by looking at the reasons for trespass: who does it, and the reasons for it. Our drama follows a couple and their friend who trespass to get to work on time. We then look at some trespass statistics, including seasonal trends; and we finish with information on the Rule Book changes relating to trespass.
