This document details the use and some aspects of the design and maintenance of rail mounted manually propelled equipment (trolleys and similar equipment) to prevent run-aways. It concerns all rail mounted manually propelled equipment and includes tools and equipment with more than two rail wheels. The document includes a brake test procedure that can be used during initial design acceptance.
