Improving accessibility and safety for wheelchair and mobility scooter users
We are updating guidance to improve the service that is provided to wheelchair and mobility scooter users when they board and alight trains and manage the risk of injury. This includes advice on the correct use of ramps, improving communication with passengers about their requirements, and planning assistance in and advance. Improving access to rail travel is expected to deliver a wealth of social and economic benefits.
