The Department for Transport has laid before Parliament the Railways (Miscellaneous Amendments, Revocations and Transitional Provisions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 (“the new Exit Regulations”) (S.I. 2020/786). These make changes to legislation that are necessary to ensure that the UK rail framework continues to function effectively after the transition period ends on 31 December 2020. The main changes made by the new Exit Regulations are:
