Identifying and Managing Passenger Behaviour at Stations, on Trains and at Level Crossings

It is essential to mitigate and manage the risks associated with passenger behaviour at the platform train interface (PTI), on trains, as well as the risks to the public at level crossings. By doing so the threat to passenger safety, commercial delays and losses will all be minimised.

The PTI poses risk to passengers, members of the public and rail staff. Infrastructure managers and rail undertakings are required to manage these risks under their legal obligations as duty holders.
