It spans the whole railway, including in its membership infrastructure companies, train and freight operators, rolling stock owners and suppliers to the industry. Head of Health and Safety Management

Responsible for RSSB’s range of services for railway health and safety management and wellbeing, you will be central to the delivery of a range of services to individual members and for working through cross industry groups to provide strategic input into rail health, safety and wellbeing.

Head of Portfolio

This is a great opportunity to join our new projects Directorate which was set-up earlier this year in response to member and stakeholder feedback, enabling RSSB to work in an agile, cross-collaborative and efficient manner. The Head of Portfolio will support the timely delivery of project outputs, ensuring a high quality of work is maintained to achieve the intended benefits for customers.  A key focus of this role will be to deliver improvements with respect to the delivery of projects on time and within budget, working with the PMO to implement improved project estimating and baseline cost management.

Graduate Research Analyst

A bright opportunity awaits an exceptional graduate to join the Research and Development Team. The post holder is responsible for providing analytical support within the R&D directorate and wider RSSB. The support covers a broad range of analytical tasks in support of the R&D Directorate. The greatest challenges of the role include building and maintaining a sound understanding of the research landscape, applying a proportionate support to individual analytical tasks depending on their size and criticality, and interpreting the different views and expectations of internal and external stakeholders.

Environment Management Specialist

This role will support the Senior Sustainable Development Specialist in ensuring that rail understands and responds to best practice in managing environmental impacts. The post holder will be expected to lead on some projects and provide technical support on others. This may include developing guidance on specific issues, providing technical input and review to research projects and supporting the development and dissemination of good practice.
