Scope

The DI SIC provides advice, expertise or support to the delivery of appropriate areas of the RTS and other relevant industry strategies and activities, including:

  • development of the Rail Data Marketplace
  • identification and promotion of opportunities to advance data interoperability and exploitation
  • identification and recommendation of existing data standards and protocols for adoption by the rail industry
  • identification and recommendation to develop new data standards and protocols for adoption by the rail industry
  • sponsoring and acting as the industry client group for RSSB research.

Membership

The group's membership is made up of the following industry categories:

  • passenger train operators
  • freight and other non-passenger train operators
  • infrastructure managers and owners, suppliers and rolling stock manufacturers
  • rolling stock owners and leasing companies
  • academia
  • RSSB
  • Connected Places Catapult
  • Rail Delivery Group
  • Department for Transport
  • Office of Rail and Road.
