Claire Mann joins the Rail Safety and Standards Board as Non-Executive Director

Claire is the Managing Director of South Western Railway (SWR), and brings more than 20 years of transport sector experience to RSSB’s Board. Claire started her railway career as a Customer Service Assistant at Heathrow Express, before becoming one of their first train drivers.
Claire’s career has since included senior leadership roles such as General Manager, Customer Service Director, Projects Director and Operations and Safety Director roles within several train operating companies and Transport for London.
On taking up her appointment, Claire said:
“I’m excited to be joining the board and to work with RSSB as it continues to research, innovate and provide independent advice and guidance to the industry.
“While our industry is currently facing a period of significant change, I’m committed to helping the railway family deliver a world class, sustainable service for its customers over the coming years.”
