This document sets out requirements for the design, manufacture and maintenance of wheelsets and their components. Access the tread profile coordinates referenced in Appendix A and Appendix B of this document.

The header for the second column in Tables 3 and 39 (Flange width) has been changed from 'As new, maximum' to 'Maximum as new'. This is supported by an additional note under the table stating that the condition applies in the new or re-profiled condition and does not prevent the increase in measured width due to tread wear. The potential need for controlling maximum flange thickness will be the subject of a study by UoH and reflected in a wider-ranging revision of the standard following the 12-month review.
