Introduction
Safety Management Resources are part of a Duty Holder’s Safety Management System. Their use helps implement efficient and effective health and safety management.
To ensure that risk is managed so far as is reasonably practicable, an evidence and risk-based approach to safety management needs to be taken. Several safety management resources are maintained by RSSB to support the industry understand and manage health, human factors and safety risks more effectively and comprehensively.
Use of these RSSB resources (tools, research, models and systems) as part of a mature Safety Management System can help a Duty Holder manage their risks.
