How did you get into recruitment?

“At the beginning of my career and as part of my development discussions, the HR Director asked me in which area of HR I wanted to work. I didn’t have an answer at the time, but I got the opportunity to explore various areas of HR including Employee Relations, Recruitment, Performance Management. Our weekly HR Team meeting helped me understand what my colleagues were doing and learn from their strategic thinking. Through this and much more, I have decided that recruitment is better suited to my personality and skills.”

Why RSSB?

“I joined RSSB as an intern through the University of Westminster mentoring scheme.”

What do you enjoy most about your current role?

“As a Recruitment Business Partner, I have a real impact on people, processes and business delivery. I am encouraged to come forward with ideas, feel able to constructively challenge the status quo and take decisions autonomously whilst being able to rely on the support and advice of my manager and colleagues. Every day brings a new challenge, and I am continually learning. I have the opportunity to work on various projects and l enjoy seeing how all the pieces come together in the end.”
