Scope

The N DRACAS G promotes collaboration and alignment across projects that implement a DRACAS. It also supports DRACAS stakeholders to help them take better asset management decisions about shared systems. Stakeholders are therefore able to achieve business benefits through the ability to make improvements to system reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety. It does this by:

  • overseeing, steering, and owning the Concept of Operations for the National CCS DRACAS, including the associated system model
  • identifying obstacles to national DRACAS benefits realisation and propose solutions. This includes working to identify the national DRACAS owner and establishing how the independent roles required for successful operation of the DRACAS processes can be fulfilled
  • supporting and actively engaging in the delivery of workstreams and projects identified under the national DRACAS roadmap developed by the Asset Integrity Group
  • supporting and advising the development and implementation of other DRACAS solutions across the industry so that they can integrate with the future the national DRACAS, as described in the Concept of Operations. This includes support to pilot DRACAS implementation projects
  • highlighting to other DRACAS solutions where they do not align with the future national DRACAS
  • learning lessons from implementing and operating other DRACAS solutions, and use these to inform the national DRACAS development and future issues of the rail industry standard.
