GCGN5612, issue one, gives guidance on the background and application of the rail traffic loading requirements for the design of railway structures set out in BS EN 1990:2002+A1:2005, BS EN 1991-2:2003 and BS EN 1991-1-7:2006, and their National Annexes.

GCGN5612, issue one, has been reviewed and errors identified in the risk assessment method in Appendix B of the guidance have been corrected. The document has also been updated and ensured it aligns with guidance on the TSI. The document has also been aligned with the design requirements for aerodynamic actions which are in the process of being transferred to the UK National Annex.
