Investigation of AWS wrong side failure code 5 issues (T1072)

This research project was set up to investigate failures on the DC third-rail network to determine if there is a systematic cause for Automatic Warning System (AWS) Code 5 failures (bell instead of horn sound) providing wrong safety critical information to drivers, with no specific fault identified either on the infrastructure or the rolling stock equipment.
