GORT3056 Iss 5.1

This working manual is for the use of all staff concerned with the acceptance, planning, handling, conveyance, marshalling and movement of freight traffic. New instructions included in white pages concerning empty coaching stock (ECS) passing over a route for which the stock is not normally cleared. Driver must have documentation indicating train can pass over route. ECS subject to route restrictions is distinguished by 3Qxx or 5Qxx identity.

An amendment to Issue 5 of this document has been published in the June 2019 Periodical Operating Notice. This issue 5.1 has been published on the website so that a completely up-to-date version incorporating a changed to refer to any type of coaching stock, to align with a change to a Rolling Stock standard. However, the printed version of this module has not been updated and Issue 5 dated 02 September 2017 remains the issue that will be supplied from the printers.
