This document sets out requirements for the design, function and control of power operated exterior door systems on passenger vehicles traversing the GB mainline railway and complements the requirements for passenger doors set out in the LOC&PAS NTSN issue two.

The standard has been updated to align with the RSSB style guide. It now includes new technologies, such as light curtains and sensitive edge, and has been structurally aligned with BS EN 14752:2019+A1:2021 Railway Applications.
