MSDG is involved in engaging with business leaders and providing guidance and best-practice information on how work tasks affect employees’ musculoskeletal fitness. This takes into consideration the ongoing effects of past practices and present and future activities.

MSDG recognises that employees with work-relevant MSDs should be better supported through effective management of musculoskeletal health. By taking a work-relevant approach, the focus shifts away from solely looking at factors that can be controlled in the workplace, such as job design and musculoskeletal health hazards. Instead, this approach allows us to go further and think about home life too. This work-relevant approach aims to support our workforce and highlight the importance of both employers and employees sharing responsibility in managing musculoskeletal health.
