Train Control Technical Sub-group
"TCTSG monitors the national performance of existing railway safety systems which have, or require, an interface between their trackside and trainborne elements, such as the Automatic Warning System, Train Protection Warning System, and Automatic Train Protection. TCTSG supports improvements to the relevant standards from system modification or enhancement, to address issues arising from the regular review and lessons learned."
Scope
The group's scope includes the technical and operational aspects of train control and train protection systems, specifically but not limited to:
- TPWS
- AWS
- ATP
- TCA
- RETB
- ETCS/ERTMS issues requiring resolution as delegated by the V/TC&C SIC
- issues to be dealt with delegated by the V/TC&C SIC or the ETCS project
- other issues delegated by the V/TC&C SIC.
