Watch RED 63 - Bullying in the workplace
In addition to first-hand experience from a victim of bullying, this episode includes a drama showing the behaviours within a track gang that led to a tragedy. Many different types of bullying are at play, as shown in the sequence of interviews and reconstructions from different perspectives.
GWR’s Lucy Shepherd, GTR’s Justin Willett and Catherine Baker from CIRAS are among those on hand in this episode to offer advice, including what to do and where to report if you experience or witness bullying. Viewers should be left feeling more confident that they can detect and identify bullying behaviour when it happens, and they should have a better understanding of the far-reaching impact it can have.
As you watch RED 63, consider if anything seems familiar, within your own team or even the wider organisation. If you are being bullied or work with somebody who is, follow the reporting suggestions made in the film. If, on the other hand, your own behaviour comes close to any of the bullying behaviours portrayed, commit to change today.
