RSSB welcomes several new affiliate members

We’re pleased to welcome a number of new additions to our growing network of affiliate members.

Six organisations have recently joined RSSB’s affiliate membership programme. Those are:

  • Petards Group PLC
  • the Toronto Transit Commission
  • Severfield
  • Australian Rail Track Corporation 
  • Kuehne+Nagel
  • London Southend Airport.

Welcoming these organisations strengthens our shared commitment to enhancing safety, efficiency, and innovation across the rail and transport industries.

  • Petards Group: driving innovation in rail and defence

    Petards Group PLC is based in the North East of England. It specialises in developing cutting-edge rail and traffic solutions that contribute to smart city infrastructure. 

    The company also provides wireless communication solutions for the UK’s critical infrastructure and advanced technologies within the defence industry. 

    With a reputation for exceptional customer service and high-quality products, Petards has strong relationships with several global leaders. Those include including Siemens, Hitachi, and the UK’s Ministry of Defence. 

    The organisation’s expertise and technological advancements make them a key addition to the RSSB network.

  • Toronto Transit Commission: Canada’s largest transit system

    The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) is the primary public transport agency in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

    As the largest urban transit provider in the Greater Toronto Area, TTC runs extensive bus and rail services. The organisation offers seamless connectivity throughout the city and beyond. 

    Its inclusion in RSSB’s affiliate programme shows its commitment to improving public transport safety, efficiency, and sustainability on a global scale.

  • Severfield: a structural steel giant supporting rail infrastructure

    Severfield PLC is based in North Yorkshire. It’s the UK’s leading structural steel contractor and one of the largest in Europe. It has an impressive annual capacity of 165,000 tonnes. 

    The company has played a key role in some iconic construction projects, including:

    • London’s 2012 Olympic Stadium
    • The Shard
    • the Emirates Stadium. 

    Severfield’s expertise will support RSSB’s efforts to enhance rail construction and maintenance standards.

  • Australian Rail Track Corporation: strengthening Australia’s rail network

    The Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) is a major rail network manager. It maintains and operates Australia’s national rail network. 

    ARTC plays a crucial role in the country’s transport supply chain, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of both freight and passengers. 

    By joining RSSB, ARTC is reinforcing its commitment to rail safety and infrastructure excellence on an international scale.

  • Kuehne+Nagel: global logistics expertise

    Kuehne+Nagel is one of the world’s leading logistics providers. It offers comprehensive supply chain solutions across the globe. It also operates one of the UK’s most successful contract logistics operations.

    Kuehne+Nagel’s extensive experience in distribution and transportation will bring valuable insights to the rail and logistics sectors.

  • London Southend Airport: enhancing connectivity in the UK

    London Southend Airport is one of the UK’s fastest-growing commercial airports. Recognised multiple times as Britain’s best airport by Which?, it provides seamless connectivity with its dedicated Southend Airport station. 

    Its affiliate membership with RSSB highlights the importance of integrating air and rail transport for a more efficient and sustainable travel network.
