Freight derailment risk from offset loading and track twist (COF-UOH-FDR)

The aim of this research was to establish how derailment frequency for container wagons differs from other wagon types and whether this has changed over time, and to determine tolerance levels for imbalanced loading which are expected to result in low derailment propensity for bulk wagons.
