Optimising the ability of industry to deal with low wheel-rail adhesion and the use of sanders on train (T1046)
The aim of this project was to determine how the increased use of train borne sanders would affect the risk associated with wrong side track circuit failures (WSTCF) and the extent to which any increased risk would be offset by reduced risk from adhesion-related signals passed at danger (SPAD).
