The purpose of this study was to review the work previously undertaken into the effect of the Physical Agents (Electromagnetic Fields) Directive on railway operations to assess the effects of the EU 2004 directive Physical Agents (Electromagnetic Fields) on the UK rail industry, and to consider how the superseding 2013 Directive will impact upon the rail industry.
