Further development of the Whole Life Rail Model damage parameter (T775)
The aim of this project were to improve the knowledge of the friction energy dissipated in the contact patch (Tγ) in the Whole Life Rail Model (WLRM), improve the understanding of the relationship between material properties and the shape of the WLRM damage parameter and to investigate the influence of wheel and rail profile shape on rolling contact fatigue (RCF) damage.
