Optimising public communication with signallers in emergencies at level crossings (T818)

The aims of the research were to assess public awareness of emergency telephones at level crossings, how best to highlight their presence, recommend improvements to their visibility and use, understand the risk benefits of the current arrangements in preventing accidents and evaluate alternative methods of reporting level crossing emergencies.
