Development of new 'Suburban' passenger vehicle standard gauge (T978)

This research aimed to develop standard vehicle gauges to maximise vehicle size within constraints of existing infrastructure, operation on all of the GB network apart from HS1, be comparable to existing passenger vehicles and be suitable for inclusion into Railway Group Standards.
