Guidance for computational fluid dynamics modelling of the forces and moments acting on trains in crosswinds (T871)

Recent advances in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) have the potential to offer an alternative to wind tunnel tests in understanding the effects of crosswinds on trains. Identifying and publishing best practice for this application of CFD contributes to a consistent and reliable approach to its adoption.
