Review of Euronorm design requirements for trackside and overhead structures subjected to transient aerodynamic loads (T750)

BS EN 1991-2:2003 contains requirements for the design of trackside and overhead structures subject to the effects of transient aerodynamic pressures from passing trains. This research project has established that there is an economic case, in terms of infrastructure cost savings, for development of alternative, GB specific, design advice. The research has also established a sound technical basis for the GB specific design requirements, by means of specialist testing and calculation.
