Risk and Safety Intelligence Updates - Period 9 2025-2026

In Period 9, on 1 December, RSI ran a Safety Risk Model workshop which got excellent feedback from attendees. We demonstrated our new train operating company (TOC) safety benchmarking dashboard to the Director of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment at the Department for Transport’s Operator (DfTO). On 27 November, we launched our new Health Insights platform. RSI presented a new post-derailment mitigation strategy for GB Rail to the T1316 research steering group. One of our RSI analysts presented at the World Congress of Rail Research in Colorado Springs, USA. A recorded presentation on the Safety Risk Model and Safe Insights was featured at the Korean Rail Research Institute conference in November. Our Taking Safe Decisions e-learning course has been shortlisted in the Training Excellence category of the SPOTLIGHT Rail Awards. Finally, both the Safe Insights Advisory Group and the Safe Insights User Group meeting were held in the first week of December.
