Human and Organisational Factors Digital Platform

The Human and Organisational Factors (HOF) Digital Platform is an interactive website that supports the sharing and exchanging of knowledge between European and other international rail companies.
The website brings together materials, resources, case studies, and best practice to support the understanding and application of HOF in rail. Accidents and incidents can often be traced back to HOF, so improving understanding of this scientific discipline will enable rail companies to reduce error and improve safety, efficiency, and effectiveness.
The resources on the HOF Digital Platform are split into four core themes:
- Enhancing safety management
- HOF regulations, standards, and tools
- Human performance
- HOF in practice
Personnel at all levels of a rail organisation – CEO, manager, specialist, trainee – will benefit from using the HOF Digital Platform, which was created with the support of RSSB.
