Code of Practice for On and Off Tracking of Road-Rail Vehicles
This document gives guidance for the safe on and off tracking of road-rail vehicles to mitigate the possibility of derailing or overturning the machine, potentially causing injury or damage to the machine and / or infrastructure, whilst undertaking this process. The code of practice covers all on tracking, off tracking and cross tracking of road-rail vehicles including leaving, returning to the track where the rails have been removed, consideration of adjacent lines still being in use by trains (ALO), the possibility to lift vehicles onto the track where adequate on-off tracking points do not exist and additional guidance on braking requirements and protection of roadside verges.
Summary Of Changes
Superseded by COP0007 Iss 6 which has been updated to include all OTP, the use of 'bog mats' more specific guidance, and current assessment processes.
