Code of Practice for Maintenance, Operation and Testing of Track Jacks
Synopsis
This document details the use, maintenance, thorough examinations and testing required for all types of track jacks used on the rail network. The revised document has been updated to cover jacks which separate safe working loads (SWL) depending on which part of the jack is used for lifting and also now covers jacks with all types of release mechanism. The document also contains more detailed guidance to the functional testing of the track jacks.
