Code of Practice for Use and Loading of MEWPs
Synopsis
This Code of Practice concerns rail mounted MEWPs and also road MEWPs used in the railway environment and details their use, particularly:
a) Pre-use checks and safe use of handtools at height.
b) Processes for type and amount of loads (that is personnel and materials) that should safely be permitted in the work platform of a MEWP.
c) The use of work restraint anchor points.
d) Getting in and out of the work platform at height.
