GERT8000-TS11 Iss 3.1
Failure of, or work on, signalling equipment - signallers' regulations
Synopsis
You will need this module if you carry out the duties of a signaller. Changes to support the national rollout of European Railway Traffic Management System (ERTMS) on the GB mainline network: - New instruction on trains approaching a missing block marker. - New instruction on dealing with a train where trackside equipment failure prevents a level 1 launch. - New instruction on resuming normal working after inability to issue an MA and train instructed to proceed on lineside signals. - Correction of wrong cross reference previously published in PON.
Summary Of Changes
An amendment to Issue 3 of this Module has been published in the June 2019 Periodical Operating Notice, and is also included in the Rule Book App from 01 June 2019. This issue 3.1 has been published on the website so that a completely up-to-date version incorporating a clear explaination on how a signaller can decide that an apparent failure concerns indications only, with a new requirement to confirm that a signal correctly returns to danger after a train has passed. However, the printed version of this module has not been updated and Issue 3 dated 02 September 2017 remains the issue that will be supplied from the printers.
