GERT8000-TW8 Iss 3

Rule Book module GERT8000-TW8 sets out the requirements for train drivers, signallers and level crossing attendants involved in the operation and use of level crossings. These instructions also mandate the process of controlling the passage of trains over level crossings that are disconnected or have failed. The reissue of TW8 will feature changes regarding the reporting of crossing gates left open, telling the user to phone back after using the crossing, keeping a record of telephone calls, failures of a telephone and when vehicle gates are left open.
