GERT8048 Iss 2

This document mandates the requirements for assessing the positioning of lineside operational telephones and the provision of information labels.

GERT8048 was reviewed in accordance with the final report of the European Commission's Task Force on National Safety Rules (NSRs). A review concluded it duplicated European legislation, and could not be retained as a NSR nor as a Railway Group Standard. Its requirements and associated guidance GEGN8648 remain valid and are incorporated in RIS-8048-CCS Iss 1.
