GERT8402 Iss 3.1

This document sets out requirements for European Rail Traffic Management System/European Train Control System (ERTMS/ETCS) Driver Machine Interface (DMI) equipment if a speed display in miles per hour is required and / or an alphanumeric train running number entry is required.

Section 2.1 has been updated to clarify the use of train speed units override information received from the ETCS trackside, and to remove the need to apply the train speed unit override at a distance from where the information was received due to the NID_UKSYS = 11 packet 44 trackside application requirements being amended.

References to the CCS Technical Specification for Interoperability (CCS TSI) have been updated to CCS National Technical Specification Notice (CCS NTSN) throughout.

CCS NTSN mandated specification and standards references have been updated.
