This document sets out requirements for European Rail Traffic Management System/European Train Control System (ERTMS/ETCS) Driver Machine Interface (DMI) equipment if a speed display in miles per hour is required and / or an alphanumeric train running number entry is required.

A new appendix has been added with scenarios that demonstrate the Train Speed Unit Override function.

In Part 2, new rounding requirements have been included for mph display of release speed digital and current train speed digital.

In Part 2.6, guidance has been included for the display of Lowest Supervised Speed in the Movement Authority in mph.

Reference to level 3 removed throughout as it is no longer included in the ETCS Baseline 4 Release 1 specifications.
