This Code of Practice provides design guidance on the maximum noise that should emanate from new railway vehicles under prescribed test conditions. Additionally, guidance on limiting other forms of pollution to acceptable levels is given, including exhaust gases from diesel engines, toilet effluent, and other pollutants.
