This document prescribes the proof and fatigue strength for traction and rolling stock. Requirements for modes of structural collapse and energy absorption under collision conditions are defined. Areas covered include vehicle bodies and body mounted components, obstacle deflectors and minimum axleoads, bogies and bogie mounted equipments, lifeguards and axlebox-mounted equipments.
