Power Operated External Doors on Passenger Carrying Rail Vehicles

Synopsis

This document mandates the minimum design and maintenance requirements to enable passengers to safely gain access to, and egress from, passenger trains via external bodyside doors.

Summary Of Changes

Following a review of GMRT2473 Iss 2, it was identified that none of the requirements are in scope of National Technical Rules (NTRs). Hence both GMRT2473 Iss 2 and guidance GEGN8577 have been withdrawn and are superseded by RIS-2747-RST Iss 1.
