The Working Manual for Rail Staff Freight Train Operations (White Pages) is for the use of all staff concerned with the acceptance, planning, handling, conveyance, marshalling and movement of freight traffic. The re-issue of the White Pages, the engineering supervisor (ES) will no longer be required to sign or retain a copy of the completed certificate to indicate that the wagons are fit to travel. However, the ES will still be required to sign the certificate if on-track machines are to be conveyed from site in a freight train to indicate that they are fit to travel.
