RIS-0733-CCS Iss 1.1
Lineside Operational Signs
Synopsis
Summary Of Changes
The introduction in Appendix A of new acceleration indicators, AD06 ‘Permissible speed acceleration indicator’ and AF09 ‘Temporary speed restriction termination - Acceleration indicator’, allows front of train acceleration for certain types of level crossing and for non-track-fault-related permissible speed restrictions. They form part of a suite of standards changes that are expected to generate significant operational benefits from a reduction in the effects of delays.
Sign AB08 ‘ETCS stop marker’ has been updated in Appendix A to include reference to the application rule and new sign AB10 ‘ETCS location marker’ has been included to support European Train Control System (ETCS) operation.
Minor amendments have been made to sign descriptions elsewhere in Appendix A.
References to Technical Specifications for Interoperability (TSIs) have been replaced by National Technical Specification Notices (NTSNs) throughout the standard.
